Did you know that studies show that public art improves public health in multiple ways as it engages the community in planning and creation, increases a sense of identify and belonging, builds tourism and increases positive mental well-being. The art and architecture walking tour of Detroit Lakes is an Art4Health Project supported by Springboard for the Arts and ParterSHIP 4 Health and conceived in collaboration by the DLCCC and Becker County Energize. The art walking tour includes a 1 mile and 2.2 mile route with 24 points of interest and the brochure highlights information on each interest point in addition to local artist biographies.
