The mission of Lakes Crisis & Resource Center is: “Fostering safety, hope, and healing through advocacy, intervention, and education.”
Lakes Crisis & Resource Center is a nonprofit community advocacy program providing direct services to abused adults and children and victims of sexual assault and general crimes. In addition, it operates a parenting time center, a mentoring program for youth, family group decision making, parenting groups, mental health services, and a number of other collaborative programs.

Sorting Donations and Organizing Storage Room

Thanks to very generous community donations, our storage room needs frequent sorting and organizing. Join our small group of volunteer rock stars and help organize our storage room! Days/Times are very flexible. Can volunteer as many or as few hours as you would like.

Volunteer Drivers

Many of the women and children who live in our shelter do not have access to adequate transportation. We are looking for people who would be available to drive clients to various appointments, shopping, or to church. Time would be very flexible and fit into your schedule.

Lakes Crisis and Resource Center have fundraising events several times a year. Our biggest event is our annual banquet in March. We are always in need of volunteers for these events. It could be serving food, busing tables, selling tickets, event set-up and tear-down, etc..
