Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge

Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge is located 20 miles northeast of Detroit Lakes. It consists of 43,000 acres of mixed forests, lakes, and rivers. Our mission is to work with others to conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife, plants and their habitats for the benefit of the American people. There are volunteer opportunities in biology, maintenance, environmental education, and visitor services. Join our team and make a difference for wildlife and people!
