Friends of Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge

Established in 1992, the Friends of Tamarac is an organization run by volunteers who is focused on delivering environmental education to thousands of children during the school year. Our programs align with the Minnesota Education Standards and teach children science, math, reading & writing all while enjoying the great outdoors at the Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge. We believe that it is critical for children to develop a strong relationship with nature NOW so they become the voice of the future advocating for the safekeeping of all our protected lands.
